Social Security (Benefits) (Amendment) Regulations, 2013

 

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 32(3) of the Social Security Act 2010, the Minister of Finance, Trade and Investment hereby makes the following Regulations —

 

1.                 

Citation and commencement

 These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Benefits) (Amendment) Regulations, 2013 and shall be deemed to have come into force on 1st January, 2013.

 

 
 

Amendment of S.I. 78 of 2010

 


2.                  The Social Security (Benefits) Amendment Regulations 2010 is amended by repealing Part I and substituting therefor the following Part —

 

″Part I

Rates of Benefit                                                          (Regulation 47)

Rates of Benefit per month

1.      Sickness Benefit                                                      SCR2,250

2.      Maternity Benefit                                                    SCR2,250

3.      Injury Benefit                                                          SCR2,250

4.      Orphan and abandoned Child                                 SCR1,360

 

5.      Funeral Benefit —                                                   up to SCR1600 in respect of each death

 

6.      Invalidity Benefit —                                              

 

         (a)  standard rate                                                     SCR2,580 as

         (b)  reduced rate                                                      affected by income of Beneficiary

 

7.      Survivor’s Benefit —

         (a)  widow’s benefit                                                SCR2,250

         (b)  widow’s or widower’s pension                         SCR2,250

         (c)  widow’s widowed mother’s pension                 SCR2,250

         (d)  industrial death pension                                    SCR2,250

 

8.      Retirement pension                                                 SCR2,750

 

9.      Disablement Benefit —                                                             

         (a)  standard rate                                                     SCR2,250

         (b)  partial disability                                                percentage of standard rate as set in Part II.

 

10.    Dependant’s Benefit —                                          

         (a)  Adult                                                                 SCR1,200

         (b) Each child                                                          SCR1,070
